Jean Hardisty Catalytic Impact Fund 2017

The Emergent Fund for Rapid-Response,
and Long-Term Support for the Movement for Black Lives.

Please note, we are currently raising funds for the Hurricane Harvey Community Relief Fund housed at the Texas Organizing Project. If you'd like to direct your funds to this effort, please select Texas Rapid Response when making your donation.

Named for the late Jean Hardisty, beloved WDN member, political scientist, and feminist activist, the Jean Hardisty Catalytic Impact Fund supports critically needed community organizing and social justice movement infrastructure through timely, catalytic investments. The fund contributes to work aimed to achieving a more robust democracy, opportunity for everyone, and long-term environmental sustainability.

The Hardisty Fund is raising $1 million in 2017 to support two important, movement-building strategies:

1) Emergent Fund for Rapid Response. An immediate response to the new national climate. An activist-advised fund for emerging strategies in partnership with Solidaire Network.

2) Long-Term Strategies. Supporting the Movement for Black Lives through local investments helping to hold elected District Attorneys and other key leaders accountable.
